Overview

With thirty years of experience in preparation for Cambridge Assessment English Qualifications – formerly known as Cambridge ESOL Examinations – we have the experience and knowledge to prepare you for these exams and help you obtain the certificate you need for the future.

Success in a Cambridge English exam provides you with an internationally recognised certificate in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which is approved by schools, universities, and both private and public-sector employers all over the English-speaking world.  Our certificate courses will help motivate you towards achieving success while providing challenging and reliable preparation for your exams.

If you are planning to travel to an English-speaking country to study or find employment, you will need to demonstrate your ability to speak and understand English.  Certificates are the definitive way to do this, and with an accredited CEFR certificate you will have the added advantage of being universally accepted and acknowledged.

Curriculum

B Independent User

General English B1 Preliminary (Threshold or intermediate)

This is an intermediate-level qualification for those who have mastered the basics of English and now have practical language skills for everyday use.

  • Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.
  • Can deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
  • Can produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.
  • Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

The above course runs for approximately 120 hours, over a period of 30 weeks, consisting of two-hour long lessons twice a week.

General English B2 First (Vantage or upper intermediate)

This qualification shows you have the language skills needed to communicate confidently in an English-speaking environment.

  • Can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization.
  • Can interact with a degree of fluency and spontaneity that makes regular interaction with native speakers quite possible without strain for either party.
  • Can produce clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects and explain a viewpoint on a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

The above course runs for approximately 120 hours, over a period of 30 weeks, consisting of two-hour long lessons twice a week.

C Proficient User

General English C1 Advanced (Effective operational proficiency or advanced)

This is proof of high-level achievement in English and the ideal qualification to prepare you for university or professional life.

  • Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer clauses, and recognize implicit meaning.
  • Can express ideas fluently and spontaneously without much obvious searching for expressions.
  • Can use language flexibly and effectively for social, academic and professional purposes.
  • Can produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects, showing controlled use of organizational patterns, connectors and cohesive devices.

The above course runs for approximately 150 hours, over a period of 30 weeks, consisting of two-hour long lessons twice a week.

General English C2 Proficiency (Mastery or proficiency)

This is our highest level qualification and it shows the world you have mastered English to an exceptional level.

  • Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read.
  • Can summarize information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation.
  • Can express themselves spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations.

The above course runs for approximately 150 hours, over a period of 30 weeks, consisting of two-hour long lessons twice a week.

Tuition fees are paid for in advance by the last day of the previous month – the price does not include course material. Tuition fees can be paid via bank transaction or PayPal, where you will receive your receipt via email.
